Responsive website design

Discovery and research performed through Google Analytics analysis, performing keyword and competition research using SEO Powersuite tool

Project Scope

Elevated usability by revamping their website; to focus more on business branding. The website needed to capture the attention of its corporate audience and clearly define the project management consultant services. Migration from a US host to an NZ server was necessary; the site needed to load with good speed and performance.

Contributions

  • Host and database migration
  • Full responsive website design with intuitive navigation and a focus on branding colours
  • Content structuring to support the main business services visible on landing page and sub-navigation on service pages
  • Improved better hosting services to support performance.

Design Rationale

  • The chosen colour scheme follows the logo as requested by the client. It is using accented colours in the hero image and buttons. These have been balanced throughout the website pages.
  • Using an atmospheric image on the landing page symbolises the success of project management as it is delivered by my client. A potential client may experience a sense of satisfaction and liberation.
  • The service images on the website capture the New Zealand culture in a corporate environment which is very important to my client.

Project Scope

New website for a start-up company. The goal was to introduce the client's brand and products to the market throughthe representation of brands and product imagery and information.  I am currently in a website redesign phase which will entail a new theme, navigation restructuring to includeapplications for each product, and each product's release.Target audience - Business to Business.

Contributions

  • Hosting services
  • Website design augmenting products through a categorised product finder navigation
  • Video display for each product presenting the application process
  • Optimisation and presentation of images
  • Brand and image slideshow setup.

Design Rationale

  • After completing extensive research, it became obvious that the preferred pathway to locate an expanding array of products was through creating a full categorised navigation system.
  • To save space and to keep the flow of the page succinct, it was necessary to show the specifications and features of each product. The use of tabs allowed for this desired outcome.
  • A slideshow was originally considered in the header, as illustrated above. This has now been replaced with a hero image which is more effective.

Project Scope

As a start-up business, Deccan Stone wanted to take their quality products online but not as an eCommerce business. They have a sister company, Deccan Construction, for which I was also the website designer.  The aim was to mirror the sister website for brand consistency purposes and to display the variety of stones and their uses.Target audience - small to medium businesses and individuals.

Contributions

  • Hosting services
  • Creation of brand Identity and imagery of quality products
  • Aesthetically pleasing design with an easy-to-navigate presentation.

Design Rationale

  • To create an appealing design, it needed to support the quality stone and capture the essence of the stone colours and textures.
  • To demonstrate effective ways to engage users and coerce them into contacting the owner, animated CTA buttons where necessary in the main header on the landing page and product pages - helping to make it easier for the user    to contact the business.

Project Scope

During Phase 1 for this start-up business, the goal was to exhibit my client's academic studies in edible mycorrhizal fungibiology and cultivation.  Being part of a global network potentially creates a wide audience for this client.Displaying more than one language was imperative for targeting this wider audience.Phase II will support a bigger portfolio, case studies, and news.

Contributions

  • Hosting services & systems administration
  • Creation of brand Identity and optimisation of imagery
  • Arranging additional language pages supported by extra coding
  • Condensing the content into logical sections helps to create a one-page website.

Design Rationale

  • Working with a low budget, we kept the content to a minimum so we needed to concentrate on academic presentation and research.
  • Using one page allowed for section flow and content consistency.
  • The header slideshow provided the image display of the different wild edible fungi, the seedlings, and life cycles.

Project Scope

This redesign eventuated from a very outdated website that no longer had any relevance to their products. They required simple and effective navigation displaying their main three metals.
Note: Content form removal was due to an abundance of enquiries and slow freight services. Removal requested by the client.

Contributions

  • Hosting services & systems administration
  • Creation of brand Identity and optimisation of imagery
  • Sourcing images and content curation.

Design Rationale

  • My client requested a simple design to only display three metals. This resulted in a three-column display navigation to take their prospective clients to the related pages.
  • Each product page has been coloured to match the related metal.
  • The primary button offers a natural earthy accented gradient colour to compliment the metal.

Project Scope

This is currently a one-page website whereby the client intends to introduce different consequent pages as theirbudget allows. The main focus was to migrate their initial website from the Google websites platform to an easier-to-use CMS.This client had the express wish to control the website updates and changes themselves, so a dynamic CMS was developed to help keep the sections succinct.Presenting the 'free delivery' offer and the display of floral arrangement categories to the local community was important.

Contributions

  • Hosting services & dynamic CMS setup
  • Photography guidance and optimisation of images
  • Website Design and Development

Design Rationale

  • I created an eye-catching hero image and included a feature events section, along with a grid-like category section to transform a simple website scope into an elevated, attractive, and easy-to-find page.
  • I established a local community guide, and included a map, business hours, and full address details in the footer for easy local navigation.
